Miley Cyrus won her first-ever Grammy Award at the 66th annual ceremony, with her hit 'Flowers' taking home the prize for Best Pop Solo Performance, the lead single off her eighth studio album, "Endless Summer Vacation."
Mariah Carey presented the award to the 31-year-old singer. In her acceptance speech, Cyrus expressed her gratitude and the chance to share the stage with Carey.
"I just got stuck in the rain in traffic and thought I was going to miss this moment," she said. "And I could have missed the award, that's fine, but not Mariah Carey!"
Cyrus has been nominated for eight Grammys throughout her career. She is up for six awards at this year's Grammy's, including Album of the Year and Song and Record of the Year for “Flowers.”
'Flowers' debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart in January 2023, making it the pop star's second song to top the chart after 'Wrecking Ball' in 2013.
