Nepal quake death toll to execeed 10,000: Nepalese army

The April 25 massive earthquake death toll could exceed 10,000, according to the Nepalese Army.
"Our projection is that casualties of the earthquake could exceed 10,000," Nepalese Army chief, General Gaurav Sumsher Rana told a group of senior journalists in Kathmandu Friday.
The death toll currently stands at 6,204 while 13,932 people suffered injuries from the incident.
"However, this number will surely go up as rescuers are still recovering more dead bodies," said Rana.

The army chief said the rescue and relief operation was being carried out satisfactorily.
"We have done the best in this time of great tragedy despite our limited resources," he said.
He also hailed the international community for providing support to Nepal in its rescue and relief operation.
