No Malaysian casualties have been reported in the terrorist attacks on June 26 in France, Tunisia and Kuwait, the Foreign Ministry said today.
It said in a statement that Malaysia condemned the attacks in the three countries, which resulted in the loss of many innocent lives.
"Though there is as yet no clear indication that the attacks on a chemical plant in France, on a seaside resort hotel in Tunisia and a bomb blast inside a mosque in Kuwait were interrelated, these brutal acts of violence serve to remind us that terrorism continues to pose a grave threat to international peace and security," it said.
The ministry said there was thus an urgent need to accelerate global efforts to combat terrorism and counter violent terrorism.
It said Malaysia extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.
