A passenger in Indonesian airline, Garuda Indonesia was removed from one of its flights for joking about having a ‘bomb’.
According to a report in The Jakarta Post, the man, only known as WH, was in a flight heading to Denpasar from Timika when another passenger in the flight Parlindungan Tambunan, questioned him about the contents in his bag since it looked heavy.
WH had jokingly said that he was carrying a bomb and Parlindungan laughed along as he knew WH was only joking.
Unfortunately for both, the conversation was heard by a flight attendant who immediately called the ground staff at Timika Airport in Papua, for help.
The duo were escorted out of the flight and WH’s bag was picked up for investigation.
The police did not find any explosives in WH’s bag but they missed their flight because they were taken to another police station for investigation.
