Police arrest fake 'prophet' charging money to go to 'heaven'

A fake 'prophet' has been arrested arrested for spreading a new teaching in Kampung Medal Sari, Tegal Waru district, Karawang, West Java.
The man known as Abdul Muhjib also charged his followers Rp2 million (RM600) each if they wanted to go to 'heaven.'
The preaching was done in a hut constructed with the help of five friends.
Abdul Muhjib was arrested after several unsatisfied villagers lodged a police report.
He was arrested for deceiving the villagers into paying Rp2 million (RM600) to help them get into 'heaven.'
An online media report quoted Rahmat Ginanjar, the CID chief of Pangkalan, Keranwang, as saying Abdul Muhjib, who was arrested last year promised to stop preaching, and repented in front of Indonesian Ulema Council officers.
Rahmat said Abdul Muhjib would be charged for degrading religion, a charge which carries a jail sentence.
