SEOUL: South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday defied a second summons from the anti-corruption body investigating his short-lived imposition of martial law, Yonhap news agency reported.

The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) had ordered Yoon to appear by 10 am as part of its probe into the controversial martial law declaration on Dec 3.

This marks the second time President Yoon has refused to comply, having ignored the CIO's first summons last Wednesday.
