Her massive social media following fortifies her as a true force to be reckoned with, as she dethrones Kylie Jenner who is not too far behind with 382 million Instagram followers.

“Wishing I could hug all 400 million of you,” Gomez wrote on Sunday in an Instagram post with a sequence of photos with fans over the years, to celebrate the milestone.

Selena's star power has been undeniable from her early days as a Disney Channel sweetheart to her thriving music career.

Joining the ranks of Cristiano Ronaldo (563 million followers), Lionel Messi (443 million), Selena is now the third most followed person on the social media platform.
