A 19-year old from Michigan, United States, fatally shot his mother while she was asleep, because she did not allow him to keep a puppy.
Andrew Wilson was charged for murder and felony firearm possession after he shot Lisa Marie Wilson, his 51-year old mother, early Friday morning in Wheatfield Township.
Authorities said the teen called emergency 911 at around 7am on the same day to report of coming home to a murdered mother.
Police found her body inside her bedroom with a shot wound at the back of her head.
Authorities revealed that at the night of the killing, Lisa Marie was with her son in the house and the night before she had told him that he would have to keep the dog he found in his dad’s home in Dansville.
The teenager told authorities that he took a 0.22 Magnum rifle from a locked cabinet, went into her room and shot her in the back of her head as she was sleeping.
Andrew later got rid of the weapon, but police recovered it.
He was arraigned at 55th District Court in Mason on Monday in front of Judge Mark Blumer.
The judge denied him bond and he is set to appear in court again on Sept 28.
