Throngs come out to see BTS singer Jin carry the Olympic flame at the Louvre

PARIS: Throngs of fans lined the route of the Olympic Torch Relay in Paris to catch a glimpse of South Korean singer-songwriter Jin as he carried the torch near the Louvre Museum on Sunday (July 14).
The BTS star was greeted by screaming fans as he took part in the relay on its first day through the host city, which also coincided with Bastille Day, France’s national day.
Fans with homemade posters and flags were a large contingent of the crowd during the evening stretch of the relay that featured Kim Seok-jin, who is known simply as Jin.
The relay will culminate with the lighting of the cauldron in Paris during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Games.
The 2024 Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 - August 11, while the Paralympics will run from August 28 - September 8.
