The two major-party candidates were running neck-and-neck in Florida, the largest prize among the decisive swing states.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is projected to win her adopted home state of New York, while Republican nominee Donald Trump will win Texas, Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Wyoming, major US broadcasters say.
With the new results, Trump leads with a combined 130 electoral college votes, while Clinton has 104.
Each state's electoral college value is weighted by population. A candidate needs 270 to clinch the White House.
