A mother in Boston, United States had uploaded a video clip that showed her son lied after was ‘caught’ eating the decorative sprinkles.
Erica Boarman, 25, recorded the action after her son refused to admit the conduct.
What started as a video for her family to video has now gone viral when she deicded to upload the video sharing website YouTube.
Astro Awani posted a question asking whether it was right for the mother to post a private video online.
@Faridah2903 said “Absolute not” and was agreed by @mediha_m.
Some said the mother should not have embarassed the son on YouTube.
“Bonita_rosetta: We want to nurture good values n behaviour not embarrass the poor kid. [sic]”
“@NurulainRW: that's lame. You'll just humilliate your children instead of teaching them some lessons. Therefore, no. [sic]”
Ismail Amsyar said although the kid was caught lying, it could be done in other ways.
“@IsmailAmsyar: not only the kid..the parents as well. There are other ways to do it. Why did they put up the video? Profit much? or was it the parents upload it? I have not watch it..either way, it's not a good way to educate people [sic]”
Despite the negativity, one person managed to find the humour in this video.
@awanrun tweeted, “Well played kid.”
With a current view of 57,635 for the video, Erica pointed out that she is trying to change her son’s attitude and John had started to understand that he should stop lying.
