There has been a slight improvement in the haze situation in Singapore on Thursday, but air quality remained at the high end of the unhealthy level.
As at 10am today, the 24-hour pollutant standard index (PSI) read between 155-199, in the mid and high-end of the unhealthy range, and the three-hour PSI was 159, according to the National Environment Agency (NEA).
Thundery showers are expected mainly over northern, eastern and western Singapore in the afternoon.
The 24-hour PSI for today is expected to be in the high end of the unhealthy range and low end of the very unhealthy range, and may deteriorate to the mid-section of the very unhealthy range if denser haze is blown in.
The prevailing wind conditions are forecast to continue blowing from the east-southeast or southeast.
