A woman was saved from accidentally being shot at in a boar-hunt area when the metal underwiring of her bra deflected the bullet.

The tourist in Germany together with her husband were unaware that they had stepped into the animal hunting area while on a bike ride in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

“The bra’s metal underwiring may have saved the 41-year-old tourist’s life after she and her husband unwittingly entered the area of a boar hunt while on a bike ride in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania,” The Telegraph reported.

The woman felt a jolt in her chest while travelling on a country road passing by a field in the vicinity of Gadebusch town.

“She looked down to see that she had been hit by a bullet, but the underwire of her bra had deflected the blow, leaving the woman with just a bruise,” the portal reported.

According to the report, the woman was brought to hospital for medical attention and police were deployed to the scene with metal detectors and sniffer dogs trained to locate explosives to look for further bullet debris.
