A 21-year-old woman survived a sexual assault by inflicting pain on her attacker where it would hurt most - his genitals!

According to The Independent, a 31-year-old man named Kum Keng Fa, followed the woman who was on her way home into the lift of a HDB flat.

He then introduced himself as Ken and claimed that he lives in the same apartment while chatting himself up with the woman.

Convinced that they were the only two in the lift, the man unexpectedly grabbed her breasts. They struggled and both fell to the ground.

Despite being pinned down by the man, the woman managed to fight back by squeezing his genitals, causing her attacker to flee in pain.

The man also accidentally left behind his phone which was eventually used by the police to track and arrest him.

He was later sentenced to 27 months' of jail sentence and three strokes of the cane for outraging of modesty.
