China Petroleum Hit Record High
China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) said its domestic crude oil output touched a record high of 110.33 million tonnes in 2012, up 2.79 million tonnes year-on-year.
Oil production from the Daqing oil field in northeastern China reached 40 million tonnes in 2012, while output from the Changqing oil field in northwest China's Shaanxi Province hit 22.62 million tonnes, up 2.6 million tonnes from 2011, CNPC said.
It said oil product in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region rose to 18.39 million tonnes last year.
Meanwhile, CNPC's crude oil output was up 455,000 tonnes and gas production increased by 2.3 billion cubic metres in 2012, Xinhua news agency reported.
It said the oil and gas sales of the company exceeded 200 billion yuan (US$31.75 billion) for the first time in the year.
China produced 203.6 million tonnes of crude oil and consumed 461.8 million tonnes in 2011.
