CIMB Group announced the appointment of Dato’ Kong Sooi Lin as the Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, with immediate effect.
According to a statement by CIMB, Dato’ Kong has extensive equity and debt transaction expertise, having advised on numerous high profile and industry shaping corporate exercises in Malaysia and Asia Pacific.
Dato’ Kong has over 27 years of investment banking experience under her belt, of which 22 years were honed with CIMB Investment Bank.
"I would like to congratulate Sooi Lin on her appointment. CIMB’s investment banking division has achieved many major milestones during her term as Group Head of Investment Bank.
"I am confident that under her leadership, we will continue to build our investment banking franchise and solidify our position as the leading investment bank in ASEAN,” said Chief Executive of CIMB Group, Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Aziz.
