MAS keen to code share with India's Jet Airways
The bilateral air service agreement between India and Malaysia allows the designated airlines from both countries to operate 20,670 seats per week across various cities.
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has initiated talks to enter into a code-sharing deal with India’s Jet Airways for domestic routes, especially in secondary cities, the Financial Chronicle reported.
The report said Malaysia's Transport Ministry has sought clarifications on code-sharing by the designated airlines of both countries for domestic routes.
"The ministry informed us that MAS and Jet Airways, a full-fledged service carrier, are keen to enter into a code-share agreement for domestic routes, especially secondary cities," the report quoted an unnamed official as saying.
