Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has appointed Datin Paduka Jamiah Abdul Hamid as a Non-Executive Director, effective Jan 26.
In a statement here today, Maybank said Jamiah, who has more than 30 years experience in the corporate world, is the third female director on the bank's board.
Maybank Chairman Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor said her appointment complements the strength of the board by bringing in a fresh outlook and required expertise to consistently deliver value to the bank's stakeholders.
