Naza Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Kia Motor vehicles in Malaysia, targets to sell 500 units of all its brands per month in 2017, said its Head of Dealer Sales Operation, Ziad Fazaruddin.
He said the target could be achieved with the help of its three more upcoming models that would be launched soon.
"We expect good sales. I would say about 500 units at least per month on average. We are expecting good numbers, much improvement from last year," he added.
He said Naza Kia has unveiled one of its models, Grand Carnival MPV, with introductory specs, and even though it was set for launch in April, the model was oversold.
"We'd brought in the first batch of only 50 units, but in terms of booking, it's already double and more (units) will come," he told reporters at the launch of the new Naza Kia 3S (Sales, Service and Spare Parts) Outlet in Jalan Pahang here today.
He said the new 3S outlet was one of Naza Ria's five service outlets to be launched nationwide and was part of its network extension exercise to upgrade all of its outlets to 3S centres.
"Currently we have 33 service outlets. Our focus is to establish more 3S outlets, mainly in East Malaysia and the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. We also have an ongoing upgrading programmes with our non-3S dealers," he said.
Sitting on a 16,200 square-foot area, the new MPV Car Service outlet has the ground capacity to display four cars in the showroom area, four services bays with the capability to service up to 14 cars per day.
With a built-up cost of RM1.5 million, the outlet provides excellent amenities such as lounge and Wifi for Kia owners in Jalan Pahang, Jalan Genting Kelang, Setapak, and Titiwangsa.
