PM wants ministries, agencies to study public's proposals posted on #Bajet2017
Budget 2017 will be tabled in Parliament on Oct 21.
Datuk Seri Najib Razak wants all ministries and government agencies to study the proposals made by the public on the #Bajet2017 website.
The prime minister said this was needed as many suggestions that came from the people at large via the special website were related to the ministries.
"These are the views and opinions of the rakyat, all need to take note," he said in his latest posting on his Facebook page today.
Najib said the special website had so far received thousands of proposals from the public.
"Thank you, new proposals are much welcomed before the closing date, Sept 19," he said.
The ideas contributed to date, cover topics such as rising cost of living, healthcare services, housing and urban living, transportation and infrastructure, economic development and education.
One of the contributors, Khairul Annuar, has suggested that the government upgrade the services of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) by adding new routes to the KTM Komuter train service and increasing the trip frequencies.
"This is because with faster services between towns and more frequencies, more people will opt to live in the rural areas or small towns although they work in the Klang Valley," he said in his posting on the #Bajet2017 website today.
The public can still offer any sound suggestion for Budget 2017 before this Sept 19 through the special website at https://bajet2017.najibrazak.com which was introduced on Sept 5.
