Sunway Construction bags RM2.3 billion LRT3 project
SunCon said the project included the construction and completion of the LRT3 guideway, stations, iconic bridge, park and rides, ancillary buildings and other associated works for the Bandar Utama-Johan Setia line.
Sunway Construction Group Bhd's (SunCon) unit, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (SCSB), has been awarded a RM2.3 billion Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) construction project by Prasarana Malaysia Bhd.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, SunCon said the project included the construction and completion of the LRT3 guideway, stations, iconic bridge, park and rides, ancillary buildings and other associated works for the Bandar Utama-Johan Setia line.
"The project is for a period of 36 months and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2020," it said.
SunCon said the project was expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2017 onwards.
It said the project has brought the company's current outstanding order book to RM6.5 billion. -- Bernama
