Astro on Friday was recognised as the top entertainment and media brand fro its 6th consecutive years at the Putra Brand Awards 2015.
Astro and radio channel Era fm on Friday bagged the gold prize while hitz fm won the silver under the media network category at the award ceremony.
The award for Astro was received by Astro's Vice President of the Business Segment, Customer Division, Shaiful Subhan on behalf of the broadcasting company.
Content Manager, Brian Vinesh meanwhile received the award for Era fm and hitz fm accompanied by Astro's radio talents, Ean, RD and Arnold (from hitz Morning Crew) and Haniff (JoHaRa).
ERA.fm is the number one radio station in Malaysia with 4.8 million weekly listeners while hitz.fm tops the English radio station with 1.2 million weekly listeners.
The Putra Brand Awards is the premier brand awards in Malaysia organized by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia in association with Malaysia's Most Valuable Brands.
The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of the awards were determined by votes casted by 6,000 Malaysian consumers.
Beginning August 22 to 31 Astro subscribers will enjoy a 10 day free preview of its 150 channels, including HD channels as a mark of appreciation for the win.
