Deadline.com has revealed that the adaptation of James Renner's "The Man From Primrose Lane" will be written for Bradley Cooper.

Warner Bros and Bradley Cooper's production company, 22 & Indiana Pictures, are working on an adaptation of the literary thriller.

Chad Feehan, "Paranormal Activity 4" co-writer, will be in charge of adapting the novel that was published in the United States last year. The plot, somewhere between fantasy and horror, will focus on a crime writer who has been living as a recluse since his wife's suicide.

His investigation into the death of an old eccentric known for wearing slippers all year round will force him to face up to his wife's suicide and take a closer look at himself.

If it is successful, "The Man From Primrose Lane" could become a franchise. Writer James Renner has already planned at least two follow-ups to his novel.
