The first trailer for Derek Cianfrance's "The Place Beyond the Pines" has been released, introducing the crime drama from Focus Features.
The film follows Cianfrance's 2010 film "Blue Valentine" (2010), which also featured Ryan Gosling. In the new film, Gosling plays a motorcycle stunt rider who robs banks to support his son and ex-girlfriend -- putting him on the radar of a cop with political ambitions played by Bradley Cooper. When their world collide, their actions have repercussions for years to come.
Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne and Ray Liotta round out the cast.
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September and will arrive in theaters in March 2013.
