The public is advised to be wary of a syndicate actively offering cheap concert tickets of foreign artistes, especially K-Pop groups.
MCA Public Services and Complaints Bureau head, Datuk Seri Michael Chong said the members of the syndicate posing as ticket agents or employees of an entertainment company would offer cheap tickets to their victims through Facebook.
"The victims will be contacted via the social website and offered cheap VIP tickets. When the payment has been made, the suspects will disappear without a trace," he told reporters at Wisma MCA, here, Tuesday.
He said the latest victims were two women, aged 19 and 32, who claimed to have lost more than RM4,000 to the syndicate.
Chong said the syndicate was believed to be targeting young K-Pop fans. - Bernama
