Sharifah Aini admitted in ICU for lung disease

The queen of song Datuk Sharifah Aini has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital here for lung infection.
She developed breathing difficulties and was taken to the hospital by her son Aliff Omar Ali on Monday morning. She is currently in stable condition and is advised not to receive visitors except family members.
Sharifah Aini, 60, was diagnosed with a rare condition known as lung fibriosis or interstitial lung disease two years ago.
According to Consultant Respiratory Physician, Datuk Dr Zainuddin Md Zin the disease causes hardening or scarring of the lungs.
