Najib joins Pengkalan Chepa residents for 'hajat' prayers

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak joined the residents of Pengkalan Chepa in performing the 'hajat' prayers or prayers for special needs and reciting the 'Yaasin' to seek protection and safety for the people in the state who were facing the brunt of the flood.
Before the 'hajat' prayers led by Osman Mohd Zin, the imam of Masjid Assalam, Pengkalan Chepa, the congregation performed the Maghrib prayers and after reciting the 'Yaasin', they performed the Isyak prayers.
Among the congregation was International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
The Prime Minister was on a one-day visit to Kelantan to observe the severe flood that was hitting the state.
Besides listening to the briefing on the floods that had hit Kelantan since Dec 16, the prime minister also made an air observation on the areas hit by the flood.
The Prime Minister also visited and talked to the victims of the flood who were seeking refuge at the Sekolah Mahad Muhammadi Lelaki, here.
The Prime Minister returned home Saturday night.
