Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said that Selangor the Shah Alam Municipal Council has also been instructed to cancel TV3's 'Jom Heboh' programme scheduled to be held on Dec 27 and 28 in i-City because of similar reason.
He added that he had held discussion with the state Islamic Religious Department (Jais) and ordered each mosque to carry out solat hajat to pray for the safety of those affected by floods.
Mohamed Azmin said State government executive meeting (MKKN) has approved an allocation of RM1.5 million to assist the flood victims.
“MKKN has approved RM1 million for Kelantan and RM100,000 for Terengganu, Pahang and Perak, respectively.
Selangor has also allocated RM200,000 for a humanitarian relief mission,” he said at a press conference, here today.
Mohamed Azmin also said that the state government has urged the Federal Government to approve a disaster fund grant as soon as possible, to assist the various state governments in their efforts in flood relief.
Mohamed Azmin has arrived IN Kelantan today to hand in the aid and visit flood evacuation centres in the state.
