COVID-19: Infected cases exceed 425,000 in Indonesia

JAKARTA:COVID-19 infection cases have exceeded 425,000 after 4,065 new positive cases were reported within a period of 24 hours.

However, 357,142 patients out of a total of 425,796 positive cases have recovered from the viral infection.

Based on information available on the official Twitter account of the Indonesian National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB), another 55,943 patients were still being monitored.

Between noon yesterday and noon today, 89 more deaths occurred, bringing the cumulative number of fatalities to 14,348.

Jakarta province has recorded the highest total number of positive cases in the republic so far with 109,411 including 797 new cases, while East Java has the most fatalities with 3,853.
