IRAN'S Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on Thursday (July 30) warned countries assisting the United States of ‘harsh response’, adding that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, "as long as the arrogance and threats of American officials and their interference in maritime movements in the region continue."
The U.S. carried out fresh strikes in Iran on Wednesday (July 29), the U.S. military said, further intensifying a five-month-old war that was already expanding beyond its main fronts to embroil additional countries in the region.
The U.S. Central Command described the latest strikes on X as "a powerful response to yesterday's attempted Iranian attacks on U.S. forces based in the Middle East."
The Iran war began on February 28 when the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran and Tehran responded with its own strikes on Israel and Gulf states that host U.S. bases.
