IRANIAN President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday (June 23) that negotiations with the United States would progress if there is 'full commitment', not off-script statements.
Pezeshkian's remarks on X came a day after U.S. President Donald Trump warned, "I will do what I have to do" if Iran does not stick to its side of the agreement.
Trump and Pezeshkian signed an interim deal last week, more than three months after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran and Iran responded with its own attacks on Israel and Gulf states with U.S. bases.
On Monday (June 22), United States waived sanctions on Iran for 60 days from Monday after the first talks under the deal.
U.S. Vice President JD Vance said talks in Switzerland had laid good groundwork for a final peace deal, although Iran denied that its nuclear programme had yet come up for discussion.
