Jakarta floods trending on Twitter
The massive flooding that hit Jakarta on Thursday is now a hot topic on Twitter as the hashtag #prayforjakarta is trending among Twitter users in Indonesia.
Famous preacher Abdullah Gymnastiar, also known as AA Gym, urged everyone to pray for the people affected by the flood.
Wishes also came from other Twitter users including Deun_Deun @IndL93, who hoped the floods will subside soon.
Meanwhile, tweets are coming in about the lack of environmental concern among folks in Jakarta, who they say have contributed to the flooding.
Another twitter user @Solehsolihun hopes those living in Jakarta will not dispose any waste into the river.
However, there were those who added humour to the situation - hoping to cushion the difficulties they are facing.
Abdul Gofar Hilman (@pergijauh) said that people in Jakarta can ride on a jet ski now.
Then there were also serious tweets demanding answers from the powers-that-be.
Indonesia is ranked sixth after US, Brazil, United Kingdom, Canada and Germany with the most Twitter users.
