Democratic Party chairman Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has outlined the vision, mission and 11 new pledges if the party is returned to power in Indonesia.
"I have outlined the party's vision and mission in the next five years. This is no rhetoric," said Susilo, who is also the President of Indonesia during a one hour campaign for the parliamentary elections.
He said the Democratic Party aims to enhance Indonesia's economy, improve the people's wellbeing and continues to combat corruption in five years.
It wants a stable political climate, a matured democracy and strong security forces to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Indonesia.
"The role of Indonesia will continue to grow internationally. Indeed, Indonesia has became a regional power and a global player. Why? Indonesia has the strongest economy in Asean, we are members of the G-20, APEC and the UN."
The Democratic party has set 11 targets, including the eradication of poverty, education, health, basic needs, modernising security forces, caring for the welfare of officers and teachers, infrastructure, investment and eradication of corruption.
Susilo promised to increase the allocation up to thousands trillion Rupiah.
"This is not an illusion nor discourse. Let us continue to change and develop the country to make it better," he added.
