Thirty-three passengers were injured, at least four of them seriously, when their high-speed train collided with an empty car at a station near Philadelphia early on Tuesday (August 22), local media reported.
The train hit the stationary car at the 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, 10 miles west of Philadelphia, just after midnight, a CBS television affiliate reported, citing Upper Darby Mayor Thomas Micozzie.
Micozzie said the conductor on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority train was also injured.
Four people were in a critical condition, NBC 10 reported without going into details.
Train and local officials were not immediately available for comment.
Four people were injured when a train rear-ended another near the 69th Street Terminal in February.
Eight people were killed and more than 180 injured when an Amtrak train derailed in Philadelphia in 2015.
