It encourages all member states, organisations of the UN system and other international, regional and subregional organisations, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to observe the International Year in an appropriate manner and to disseminate the advantages of peace and trust.
It invites the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation and the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs of the UN Secretariat to facilitate the implementation of the International Year.
In a separate resolution, the General Assembly declares Nov. 15 as the International Day for the Prevention of and Fight Against All Forms of Transnational Organised Crime.
The resolution invites all UN member states, the organisations of the UN system and other global and regional organisations, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to commemorate the International Day in an appropriate manner, including through educational and public awareness-raising activities, and to share best practices in this regard.
