1MDB: Declassify PAC's report, urges Muhyiddin Yassin

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin wants the government to declassify the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

The report is currently classified under the Official Secret Act (OSA).

The former Deputy Prime Minister said the people deserved to know the truth, adding that the entire Cabinet should be responsible for the people.

Here is his full statement:

PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin had earlier said that the decision on whether 1MDB audit report will be declassified or not is the prerogative of the Cabinet.

Hasan was responding to certain quarters who wanted to know the reason for the report's classification under the Official Secret's Act.

He had claimed earlier that the Auditor-General's report would be declassified once PAC's report on 1MDB was tabled in Parliament.
