1MDB: PAC report proves PM is innocent, says Azalina

The Public Accounts Committee's Report on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) Governance Management Control released in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday proves that there were no criminal offences committed by officials in the Finance Ministry-owned company as alleged by the opposition.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said the report also confirmed that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak did not commit any offences or contribute to any criminal offences, hence proved that all allegations made against him were baseless.

"It is now proven that all allegations and accusations made against the prime minister all this while were baseless, politically motivated and done with the intention to topple the prime minister in an undemocratic way," she said in a statement here.

The report also confirmed that there was no case of financial misappropriation or missing fund in 1MDB as alleged, she added.
