2017 Budget: Further reprieve announced for PTPTN borrowers
The incentive involved a 15 per cent discount on the outstanding debt for full settlement.
Natinal Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTPN) borrowers have been given further relief in repaying their loans.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said while tabling the 2017 Budget at the Dewan Rakyat here today, the incentive, effective tomorrow, is meant to encourage borrowers to settle their debts.
The incentive involved a 15 per cent discount on the outstanding debt for full settlement.
While a 10 per cent discount will be given to borrowers for the settlement of at least 50 per cent of their debts made in a single payment.
The incentive also includes a 10 per cent discount for repayments through salary deduction or direct debit in accordance to the repayment schedule.
