2017 Budget: GST to remain at six per cent

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will remain at six per cent for 2017 despite rumours it will be increased.
Speaking while tabling the 2017 Budget at the Dewan Rakyat here today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said as of October 19, the government had collected some RM30 billion in GST.
This had enabled the government to cover all its expenses while reducing other resources.
