2-year-old boy dies after being crushed by falling TV

A two-year-old boy died after being crushed by a falling television set in his home at Taman Gadong Jaya, near here Thursday.

In the 4 pm incident, the boy, E. Soloman Aaron, was said to have sustained head injuries and was rushed to the nearby 1Malaysia clinic before being transferred to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital for further treatment.

However, he succumbed to his injuries at 5.45 pm.

The boy's father, G. Egenase, 38, when met at the hospital, said his wife was in the kitchen when she heard a loud bang coming from the living room and found their son crushed under the falling television set.

Nilai police chief Supt Abdullah Roning, when contacted, confirmed the incident, saying that the case was classified as sudden death.
