6,998 land application approved in S'gor since 2008
The Selangor Government has approved 6,998 applications for land by people from the state since 2008.
Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the state government had considered in clusters, applications to obtain land ownership.
"All applications in clusters, for consideration by the state government, must meet the conditions, be complete and orderly for approval by the state government," he said when answering a question by Ng Suee Lim (DAP-Sekinchan) at the State Assembly sitting here Thursday.
Earlier, Ng wanted to know the number of land ownerships which had been approved by the state government between 2008 and today.
Abdul Khalid said, based on the State Executive Council Meeting (MMKN) dated May 17, 2009, district land administrators should submit applications for land ownerships for consideration by MMKN in clusters.
Meanwhile, state local government, research and development committee chairman Ronnie Liu said a total of RM54 million a year, was saved by all 12 local authorities since taking over the solid waste management and public cleaning contract from Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, effective October last year.
