Seberang Perai Tengah District Police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said one of the vehicles was believed to have skidded in the 6 am incident in front of Malaysia-Japan Technical Institute.
"Six of the victims were confirmed dead at the scene while two more died on the way to Seberang Jaya Hospital.
"Their identities are being ascertained,” he said here today.



He said 32 others were injured and sent to Seberang Jaya Hospital and Sungai Bakap Hospital for treatment.
