Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman will meet his Thai and Indonesian counterparts to discuss the issue of irregular movement of people, in particular human trafficking.

In a statement today, the ministry said the Thai Foreign Affairs Minister, General Tanasak Patimapragorn, who is also Thai Deputy Prime Minister, and the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister, Retno Marsudi would attend the meeting in Putrajaya on Wednesday.

According to the statement, Malaysia remains committed to working closely with affected countries and members of the international community in resolving the issue in the region.

"Malaysia will continue to seek a solution on this issue through, inter alia, concerted and coordinated efforts among the countries of origin, transit and destination," it said.
