Azwan Ali: My brother should be Selangor MB

The flamboyant host said that the menteri besar post for Azmin was likely his brother’s blessing (rezeki).

“I have heard this news about my brother becoming MB since 2011, so it isn’t something new. It is a real bonus for Selangor because he is a great leader and will bring the state to greater heights.

"I won't say Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim isn’t good, it is better not to compare the both. I am not saying this because he is my brother but a lot of people love him, there’s a magnetic aura about him.

“As a politician he is vocal and never afraid to make his point across. Azmin does it with his own style and I saw how people called out to him during the nomination day,” he said, adding that Azmin has a cool head despite all the comments about him.

It was reported that the post of Selangor Menteri Besar will be announced by the Pakatan Rakyat leadership in a week.

Former Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim had said the outcome will be decided after the leaders of the opposition parties in the state hold a meeting soon.

It is widely known that Azmin has eyed the post of Menteri Besar since Pakatan Rakyat took over Selangor in 2008.

Others have said, as any politician worth his salt should be eyeing the top political post in Selangor, so Azmin is no different

Toward his end, he has his celebrity brother Azwan’s artistic and moral support.

When it does happen the state assembly would be deprive of the good humoured banter between Azmin and Khalid during the state assembly sessions.
