Baling: Floodwaters recede, PPS in Kampung Iboi closes

BALING: The temporary relief centre (PPS) at Dewan Surau Ittifaqiah, Kampung Iboi near here, which houses 46 flood victims from 16 families, was closed at 1 pm today.
Baling District Civil Defence Force (APM) officer Lt (PA) Mohd Faizol Ab Aziz said all these victims were allowed to return home after the floodwaters fully receded.
"The announcement on the closure of the PPS, which was opened at 8,30 pm yesterday, was made by the Baling district officer who is also Baling District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) chairman Mohd Shahadan Abdullah," he said when contacted by Bernama today.
Mohd Faizol said, however, his team will continue to monitor the situation, including the water level of Sungai Kupang, in the eventuality of further flooding.
