Barack Obama's three day itinerary in Malaysia

United States President Barack Obama is currently on a four-nation Asian tour that encompasses Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Malaysia. Obama will arrive in Malaysia on Saturday for a three-day visit.

This historical visit is a first by a sitting US president in 48 years since President Lyndon B. Johnson's trip back in 1966.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman noted the good rapport between Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the 44th US president.

"This will ensure that bilateral discussions on the economy, security and people-to-people relations are open, constructive and productive as we look at ways to elevate our bilateral ties to a comprehensive partnership," he said.
