The body of a teenage boy who drowned in Sungai Kampung Delong three days ago was found floating in the river today.
Dungun Police chief Supt Ahmad Zailani Yaacob said the body of Che Wan Haziq Haikal Che Wan Othman, who was 14, was found about two kilometres from the spot where he had gone missing.
"The body has been sent to the Dungun Hospital," he told Bernama.
Last Sunday, the student of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Pulut, Dungun, was swept away by currents at 6.45 pm when jumped into the river to retrieve a ball that he and several other boys had been playing with by the side of the river. - BERNAMA
