Budget: Government committed to reduce the people's burden

He also announced that BR1M will be raised from RM650 to RM950 for households with monthly income of RM3,000 and below.
Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said the 2015 Budget tabled today by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak proved that the government is concerned and committed to help reduce the people’s burden.
He said the government has always strived to ensure that the people continue to enjoy quality life by extending various kinds of aid across the segments.
“The budget this time is more solid and is very people-oriented. Based on Najib’s speech, overall the government has emphasized on solid physical policies and moves to reduce deficit,” he said.
He said Najib had announced taxes where it was necessary while at the same time, introduced measures to reduce the people’s burden,” he said after watching the 2015 Budget tabling at Yayasan Pahang Complex.
Najib among others had announced that the government will build 80,000 units under the 1Malaysia People's Housing Programme (PR1MA) with an allocation of RM1.3 billion to address housing woes.
He also announced that the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) 4.0 will be raised from RM650 to RM950 for households with monthly income of RM3,000 and below.
He said the assistance will be disbursed in three instalments with RM300 each to be paid in January and May and the balance of RM350 in Sept 2015.
