Cabinet conveys condolences over passing of Kanang Langkau

The Malaysian Cabinet today conveyed its condolences to Datin Brawang Chunggat, the widow of Warrant Officer 1 (Rtd) Datuk Temenggong Kanang Anak Langkau, over the demise of the national warrior.

The condolences were conveyed by Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui.

He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the other Cabinet ministers were saddened by the death and expressed their deepest condolences to Brawang and her family.

"Not only Kanang's family suffered the loss, but the nation too, as a result of the passing of the late Datuk Temenggong Kanang Langkau.

"We pray the family will have strength from Almighty God to carry on the good work of the late Kanang Langkau. He served the nation so beautifully, bravely, and with so much bravery in his service," he said.

Chin was speaking to reporters after paying his last respects to Kanang at the Dewan Suarah here.
