Some members of Parliament today called for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to be set up to investigate alleged involvement of law enforcement members in human trafficking activities.
This follows the discovery of what are believed to be mass graves and human trafficking camps in Wang Kelian, Perlis.
R. Sivarasa (PKR-Subang) said this would enable enforcement officers who were allegedly involved in such activities to be investigated by the commission.

He said this during the debate on a motion on the discovery of the mass graves.
The motion was moved by Gooi Hsiao-Leung (PKR-Alor Setar). Sivarasa's proposal was supported by Dr Mohd Hatta Md Ramli (PAS-Kuala Krai) who wanted a thorough investigation to be conducted to ensure appropriate action was taken against the culprits.
He said the discovery of the graves and camps had shocked the people, and it was detrimental to the country's image.
Zairil Khir Johari (DAP-Bukit Bendera), who also supported the proposal, called for a 'task force' to be set up to find other camps that may exist at border areas, including in Sabah and Sarawak.
